LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Last year, a local concert was a first in the state of Ohio, and the Center of Peace and Reconciliation wants to share that story.
The full Lima Symphony Orchestra played within the confines of the Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution last June as part of their Healing Through Music program. Small groups of musicians had been in the prison at different times, but this concert was truly special as a healing process for more than just the inmates.

"It's amazing how it changes their lives," said John Foster, founder of the Center of Peace and Reconciliation. "It not only changes their lives as the guys on the inside, but the same respect, it changes the lives of those going in from the outside."
The Healing Through Music presentation will be Tuesday, March 25th at 7 pm at the Center for Peace and Reconciliation at 129 South Pierce Street. It's free and the public is encouraged to attend.
