LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Despite temperatures in the mid-80s during the early evening hours, a large crowd gathered at Lincoln Park on Friday night for an evening of music and dancing.

The Lincoln Park Dances invited community members to the park pavilion to turn back the clock to a time when Friday night dances were a popular local tradition. The Flat Bottom Boys provided the entertainment, performing a mix of country and rock favorites as dancers of all ages filled the dance floor throughout the evening.

Community turns out for music, dancing and fun at Lincoln Park

The Friday night dances continue to attract a loyal following, with many regular attendees making it a point not to miss the weekly event. Organizers encourage others in the community to come out and join the fun.

“Come on out! have a good Friday night! You get a free drink and snack.  You get to enjoy some good music, so come on out and kick your heels up!” says Bev Hicks who loves to dance.

The next Lincoln Park Dance is scheduled for Friday, June 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. Exploit Deluxe with Horns will perform a selection of classic rock and Motown hits.
