LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - There was a great turnout for the bingo and disco night representing those who have developmental disabilities.

For part of disability awareness month, OSU Lima paired up with the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities to create a 70s themed bingo night. With prizes, 70s music, disco, and food, attendees were able to get their groove on while also making awareness for developmental disabilities.

"It's just to get, you know, spread awareness about people with developmental disabilities and this event is really for them. And, if we did not have them to come, this event would not happen," says Kara Alsip, Social Work Intern at OSU Lima.

Many left the event with prizes from winning bingo, but all left feeling happy and grateful for their friends and families.
