LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima residents with roots in other countries shared their heritage at the 2025 Multicultural Expo at the Greater Lima Region Park and Amphitheatre.

About a dozen countries were represented at the event. Booths showcased traditional clothing, artwork and samples of national dishes. Some exhibitors also took the amphitheater’s stage to perform music, dance or demonstrate activities common in their countries. Organizers said they hope the event opened conversations between neighbors who otherwise might not have met.

Dozens of cultures represented at Multicultural Expo

“So many of us don't realize the cultures that are really here in Lima and the region, and so it's this is our chance to get them all to come out together in one afternoon, in one venue, and learn more about each other. So, we've got friends from India and Haiti and Mexico, Panama, Colombia, El Salvador, just wonderful, dozens of groups out here that are just sharing their culture,” said Julie Klingler, director of programs and community development.

This is the third year the Lima/Allen County Chamber, with the help of many sponsors, has hosted the Multicultural Expo.
