LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Pappy’s Lounge hosted a weeklong donation drive to support the West Ohio Food Bank, culminating in a benefit bash Friday night.

Throughout the week, patrons were encouraged to drop off canned goods and nonperishable items in a donation barrel set up at the bar. The effort aimed to collect food for local families in need. Friday’s event brought the community together for a night of music, fun, and giving. DJ Groovin Gregg provided music and karaoke for guests to enjoy. The evening also featured 50/50 drawings, raffles, and door prizes for lucky winners.

"We're open to everyone. We want everybody to come in, feel welcome, have a great time, drink, be merry, be sociable. You know, help out our local neighbors. We never know what everybody's story is, and we really need to donate, donate, donate. It helps the West Ohio Food Bank, it helps our community, and it helps our neighbors and our friends. So that's what we're here doing," said Lara Lane, veteran bartender at Pappy’s Lounge.
