LIMA, Ohio - Lima Central Catholic has named its new principal, Katie Krieg ‘05, following the announcement that current Principal/CEO Stephanie Williams ‘98 will be moving into a new role as Head of School beginning July 1. Stephanie has served as the Principal/CEO of Lima Central Catholic for the past nine years.

“Her leadership at LCC has shown her deep commitment to faith-based education and a passion for fostering the growth and success of our students,” Governing Board Chair Carla Simmons said. “This new role will allow her to further strengthen the school’s leadership and ensure LCC’s excellence for future generations.”

As Head of School at LCC, Stephanie will lead the school’s continued commitment to its Catholic mission and identity. She will be responsible for leading the shared vision and strategic planning to ensure it aligns with LCC’s mission, vision, and values and for implementing plans for long-term sustainability. This will also allow her to work closely with the Educational Foundation to ensure their goals are being met while supporting the school.

With a strong passion for student success, Krieg brings more than fifteen years of experience in teaching and leadership roles. Most recently, she served as a classroom teacher at Shawnee Middle School, where she was known for her commitment to student engagement and fostering a positive school culture. Krieg will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the religious and educational components of the school. “Katie’s return marks a meaningful and powerful continuation of the school’s tradition of providing an excellent faith-based education,” Williams said.

"Lima Central Catholic holds a very special place in my heart and I am honored and excited for this opportunity,” said Krieg. “As an alumna of LCC, I know firsthand the incredible impact this school can have on a student’s life. It helped shape the person I am today, and I’m deeply blessed to lead a community that means so much to me. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, students, and families to build on the proud legacy of excellence that defines LCC.”

In 2023, Krieg earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, as well as her Master’s Degree from Ohio State University in 2010 and her Bachelor's Degree in 2009. Krieg has continued her professional development through various leadership programs and initiatives to enhance educational outcomes.

Williams shared, “We are thrilled to welcome Katie back to LCC. Her deep roots in the community, combined with her proven leadership skills, make her the ideal person to guide our school into the future.”
