LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to explore local businesses in search of “Beanie” to win prizes. The event is designed to bring community and commerce together in a fun, hands-on way.

Participants receive a map that leads to 15 local businesses where they must find “Beanie.” Each stop earns a stamp, and those who complete the trail win a prize and are entered into a grand prize drawing at the Beantown Biz Bash on Nov. 6.

“It’s free to participate, so all they need to do is grab a participation card, like a game card, and those are available at the Chamber office in Lima at Visit Greater Lima, and then at the 15 participating businesses,” said Julie Klingler, director of programs and partnerships for the chamber. “That information can all be found at limachamber.com on our event calendar.”

The Beantown Biz Bash is a one-day business expo highlighting the importance of small businesses in the local economy. The event is designed for both businesses and consumers and will feature educational and networking opportunities. It will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in downtown Lima. More information is available on the chamber’s website.
