LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - At the Lima City Council meeting, a second reading was held for an ordinance that would repeal Ordinance 22-26 regarding the Cable Road reconstruction project.

Lima city council reads second repeal of cable road ordinance

The council unanimously voted no on the repeal. Ordinance 22-26 would authorize the mayor to purchase or accept donations of real property necessary for the project. With all council members voting against the repeal, a third reading will take place at the next meeting. If no changes are made after the third reading, the decision will go to voters to determine whether the ordinance should pass. During the session, trustees from American Township expressed their concerns about the road project.
