"We know that the second leading accidental cause of death of children between the ages of five and 14 is drowning, and so we wanted to make sure all of our students had the opportunity to learn how to swim, number one for safety, but then also just getting access to the water," said Andre Rudolph, superintendent of Lima City Schools. "We want a phenomenal swim team, too, and so as the years continue to go by and we continue to give our students access to the water, we know that it will pay off dividends in other areas as well."
The aquatic park will be holding a Spooky Splash event Friday, October 31st from 9 AM to 6 PM. You can swim all day for just a dollar.
