LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A perfect evening for some music in downtown Lima Friday night. It was all part of the inaugural event of the Party at Pangle Pavilion concert series.

A crowd on hand to hear Shucking Bubba Deluxe perform on the main stage, do a little dancing and maybe have an after work beverage and a bite to eat. The event is organized by the Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance. The group is made up of Business leaders and Community members who have a goal of producing and supporting year around festivals and live entertainment in Downtown Lima. The event is the first in a long list of attractions that are scheduled for this season of fun and family friendly shows.

Pangle Pavilion Concert Series kicks off

“Typically, when new events begin or new festivals begin, annual concert series, it takes a while to get off the ground, but we feel we’ve got a great team. We’ve got great community support. We’ve had wonderful sponsorship support, and we feel like we’re going to get off the ground running, and it’s going to be powerful all summer long,” says John Heaphy, Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance.

“We have festivals. We have concerts all summer long, so please look us up and come out and support the community,” says Tracie Sanchez, Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance.

Next up for the Concert series is a performance by "Whoa, Man," a group celebrating Women in Rock.  That takes place at the Pangle Pavilion on Friday May 29th. A complete list of concerts and events is available at the Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance website.
