Senate President McColley honors OHSAA state wrestling champions

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Senate President Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) honored State Wrestling Champions Edward Kessen from Delphos St. John's High School, who won the Division III 138lb weight class, Adam Mattin from Delta High School, who won the Division III 126lb weight class, and Laney Oliver from Findlay High School, who won the Girls Division 190lb weight class.

"Bringing such accomplished student-athletes to the statehouse is always a pleasure," said President McColley. "I'm proud to give them the recognition they deserve and wish each of these remarkable athletes success in all their future endeavors."

Mattin concluded his senior year with his third state title, which is also his family's ninth state wrestling title. Mattin is committed to attending Stanford University in the fall. Kessen wrapped up his junior year season by giving Delphos St. John's their first ever state wrestling title. Oliver won her title after being a three-time state runner up. She is also a two time All American at the Fargo and Tulsa freestyle duals and individual tournaments.
