“The first thing that I am excited about is really getting out in the community,” says Austin Miller, New Shawnee Township Fire Chief. “I want to interact with the folks. I want to get our firefighters out in the community. I am very big in community relations. I want to beef up training. I want the firefighters to get out and just interact with the community. The schools, fundraising, stuff like that, show their faces.”
