LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — With only three months on the job, Lima City Schools Superintendent Andre Rudolph is preparing for his first “State of the Schools” address.
Rudolph hopes to highlight the positive developments and accomplishments taking place across the district.
The State Board of Education recently released its “school grade cards,” awarding the district two out of five stars overall. Rudolph says the rating does not fully reflect the daily efforts and successes occurring in all nine schools.
“I want them to know the phenomenal things going on in Career Technical Education. I want them to know the phenomenal things going on within the arts. I want to make sure everybody is aware of the amazing things taking place in our classrooms every day. You know, we have students completing College Credit Plus courses, and so they're graduating high school not only ready for college, but already walking into college with college credits,” Rudolph said.
The public is invited to attend the State of the Schools address, whether or not they have students enrolled in Lima City Schools. The event will take place Tuesday, Oct. 14, in the Lima Senior High School auditorium at 6 p.m. It will also be live-streamed, with the link available on the district’s website.
