LIMA, OH (WLIO) – Sports Facilities Companies, the new operator of the Lima Community Aquatic Park, is looking to hire approximately 25 employees, including an aquatics coordinator, lifeguards, and concessions workers.
To help fill the positions, the company is holding a hiring event the evening of Friday, Aug. 1, and the morning of Saturday, Aug. 2, giving both teens and adults a chance to learn more about the available jobs at the park.
“For example, what's required to become a lifeguard, the certification course that we will put the people through, and just the job opportunities in general, and the compensation plan. We start at $14 an hour and up, depending upon the experience and in the role. As a lifeguard, you have to be 16 years old. But Guest Services and concessions workers, we look for them to be at least 16 as well. But this is not just opportunities for students and high school and college, also for adults as well,” says Ken Cobb, VP Venue Management, Sports Facilities Companies.
The hiring events will be held at the Lima Community Aquatic Park on Friday, Aug. 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m.
