LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Election Day is nearly upon us, but there's still time to cast your vote early.
You can always vote absentee plus county boards of election across the state will have extended early in-person voting hours all next week. Monday kicks things off from 7:30 in the morning to 7:30 at night.
The process is pretty simple, just stop by your local board of elections and there are just a couple of things to keep in mind: "It's essentially exactly the same as going on Election Day; the biggest difference is we have computers here, so instead of having the poll pads, which is what we have on Election Day, just bring your picture ID, make sure it's not expired," said Morgan Bode, director of the Allen County Board of Elections. "We'll have you state your name and address, get you your ballot. It goes through the exact same machine that you would have on Election Day."
This Tuesday, October 28, is the last day to turn in your absentee-by-mail application. Sunday, November 2nd is the last day for early voting. There will be no voting on November 3rd. Election Day is November 4th where voting will take place at polling locations.
Check out your board of election's website for more details on early voting.
