LIMA, OH (WLIO) — The fun continues in downtown Lima as Downtown Lima Inc.'s Third Thursday events return for their August edition.
The event is scheduled for Thursday evening, beginning at 5 p.m., offering an evening of food, fun and friendship in the heart of the city.
Visitors can enjoy select food and drinks for $5 through the Taste of Downtown. There will also be a $5 Shop Hop and a variety of other activities throughout downtown.
The Thursday events have become a boost for downtown businesses.
“We have received reports from several of our businesses that Third Thursday is their number one weeknight. We are producing an economic shockwave in the downtown just by coming out and enjoying our $5 Taste of Downtown, free live music and just getting out and into these businesses that maybe you haven't been in a while or at all,” said Cricket Rodriguez, executive director of Downtown Lima Inc.
The Lima RTA trolley will be running to help visitors get from one location to another.

The Lima Farmers Market, Cruise-In on Main and a chance to win $1,000 with Winans will also be part of the evening, along with live entertainment at several locations.
