LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Downtown Lima invited people out for food, shopping and fun during the fourth Third Thursday event of the summer.
The organization hosts the event, which brings live entertainment, a farmers market and more to the streets and businesses around downtown Lima. The event also featured a "Five Dollar Taste of Downtown," with many local businesses offering specials on different food items.
From mochas to dunk-a-roos to pretzel bites and more, there was plenty of food for people to taste. For businesses, the monthly event has also helped boost sales.
“Third Thursdays, really it just helps bring people here that normally wouldn't come to this side of town or who aren't driving by here to go to work. It just helps bring notice to us because we've been open for pushing 3 years now and we still hear every day there's people that don't know we're here and it's not their fault. It's just it takes time and things like this and events like this it helps just make us known,” says Austin Ramsdail, Winans Lima.
If you would like to check out a Third Thursday event, there is only one more to go on Sept. 17.
