LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Unity Elementary hosted a carnival to reward students who have shown good behavior so far this year.
The carnival featured games, activities, and prizes, celebrating kids for demonstrating responsibility, respect, and safety. Unity staff say it’s part of a broader effort to motivate students to stay focused and continue positive behavior throughout the month.

“The students ask all the time, ‘How many points do I have? How many points do I need to get this month? Am I being respectful? Am I being responsible? What do I need to work on to earn this?’ It really impacts their behavior,” said Sarah Zeller, school social worker at Unity Elementary.
Each month, Unity celebrates good behavior with different themes, such as trunk-or-treat and a science fair.
