LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The West Central Association of REALTORS® is helping local students have meals when they are not in school.
On Monday, the group presented a $5,000 donation and food to the organization Meals Til’ Monday. Each year, the REALTORS® committee selects a local nonprofit organization to support, and this year they chose Meals Til’ Monday because its mission—to help local elementary children have food over the weekend—resonated with the association.
Meals Til’ Monday provides more than 400 backpacks filled with food to students in eight Allen County schools. The West Central Association of REALTORS® said they want to give back to the communities where they work and live, not only by helping people achieve homeownership but also by supporting organizations that serve local residents.
