LIMA, OH (WLIO) — The West Ohio Food Bank is seeking volunteers to help support its mission of fighting hunger in the region.
The organization is looking for individuals and groups to assist with tasks such as packing senior food boxes and backpacks for schoolchildren. Volunteers are also needed to help with cleaning duties around the warehouse.
“So, we have recently hired a new volunteer and community impact coordinator, and she is on the ball, already looking to get groups, churches, organizations. I know the summer is winding down rather quickly here, but we can still take kids, preferably 16 and older. If kids want to come in a little bit younger than that, they do have to have adults with them, adult supervision,” says Jason Aldrich, Dir. of Communications, West Ohio Food Bank.
