LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A Lima organization dedicated to raising awareness about suicide and mental health now has a brick-and-mortar location to call home.

“You Matter Inc.” celebrated the opening of its new location in Shawnee Township. The space sells a variety of clothing and other merchandise promoting the message that everyone is welcome and every life matters.

“You Matter Inc.” was founded by Brooke and Rod Dudgeon after their 16-year-old son, Brady, died by suicide in 2018. With the new shop, the Dudgeons hope to keep Brady’s memory alive while supporting those who may be fighting their own battles.

"We want you to stick around and that you matter to everybody you know and to us as well and to spread that awareness, that conversation starter of 'hey, I know you might be going through something hard but it matters that you keep fighting and you stay here and that we can do this together," says Tyler Cramer, Volunteer with "You Matter, Inc."

"Most people are looking for a friend, somebody to know that they care. Lots of messages that we get is just they want to know that somebody cares and somebody is listening so just that we're here," Brooke Dudgeon, Founder, "You Matter, Inc."

Store hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The address is 2330 Shawnee Road.
