The Auglaize County Historical Society is giving people a chance to look back in time with a special photography exhibit.
"As Neil Knew It" is the name of the exhibit, which features pictures of locations around Auglaize County that played a significant role in the life of Neil Armstrong. The public can take a look at the photos at the St. Marys Community Public Library. The idea behind the display is to get the public excited for the upcoming 50th anniversary of the moon landing next year.
"Now that we're in countdown mode, we're under a year away from that important milestone, we're starting to do things to remind the community of Neil Armstrong's connection with the county, because we know that the eyes of the world will be on Wapakoneta and Auglaize County all through 2019," said Rachel Barber, administrator for the Auglaize County Historical Society.
The display will be at the library until the end of the month, before moving on to other locations in Auglaize County.
