CRIDERSVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) — Some area seniors felt like kids again Tuesday as they were treated to a winter delight at Otterbein Cridersville.
About a dozen residents took turns riding a snow sled, swerving left and right, and most called it the ride of a lifetime. For many, it brought back cherished memories of childhood, while for others it was a bucket-list moment.
Pat Staley, enjoying her first snow sled experience, said, “I had my first experience at Otterbein taking a snow sled, and it was very much fun, and I enjoyed it. And I'm cold.”
Barbara Bonifas said the ride brought back fond memories. “Just kind of exhilarating and fun to be out there swinging around in the snow, snow flying in your face. And you know, it just reminds us, well, when we were kids, and we were over at Farout Park, going down the hill.”
Beverly Krouskop, also riding for the first time, said, “Something I never did before. I love it. I could do it all afternoon.”
Several seniors took a second run and said they would have taken a third if not for the cold weather.
