WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — Nothing beats a good book and a cup of coffee. That’s why the Riverside Art Center combined the two for its first-ever “Books and Brews” event.

Riverside Art Center blends Books and Brews in new event

The Riverside Art Center aims to highlight various creative talents in the community.

Seven local authors attended to discuss their work, which spanned genres including nonfiction, historical fiction, children’s literature and fantasy. The Riverside Art Center aims to highlight various creative talents in the community by featuring different artistic disciplines.

“Not just drawing and painting, because everybody's not good at drawing and painting. Some are jewelry makers, some are writers. We all have our own different creative flow, and that's what our motto is, ‘We let creativity flow.’ And I'm really glad I get to show help, showcase these wonderful people who have just put so much time and effort into their craft. It's amazing. I just love doing that. I love supporting the local arts,” said Sara Pescosolido of the Riverside Art Center.

Those with ideas for a show or a specific art form to feature can contact the Riverside Art Center.
