A Lima organization is pumping books into local elementary schools this week.
The Lima Junior Service League will distribute more than 2,000 books to seven elementary schools in the Lima area. By contributing nearly $20,000 worth of books and donations, the group is fighting for children’s literacy in Lima and across Allen County. Young book worms at Freedom Elementary in Lima were the first lucky group to receive their pick of from a variety of genres.
The Lima Junior Service League will continue onto Elida, Perry and the remainder of the Lima City Elementary Schools by the end of the week.
