The Bradfield Community Center held a family Spring Fling informational event Saturday (4/21/18).
From the resources available to the community to summer programs for kids, Bradfield brought all the details to local families. They also took the opportunity to spark a discussion on child abuse in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month, bringing in speaker Linda Henderson to talk about her personal experiences in regards to child abuse. Bringing these topics and information to local residents is a big part of the role Bradfield plays in the community.
"So that the community knows that there is support out here, not only to help get someone else help but also to make sure that they are supported and have the needs and the means and the education," says Bradfield Community Center Executive Director Kesha Drake. "Because sometimes we just don't get help because we're not educated of where to go when we need help."
