The West Ohio Food Bank will be helping more people in need this year thanks to an event put on by the Lima Buffalo Wild Wings.
More than $3,200 was donated to the food bank. The money was raised from donations, proceeds from the restaurant and cruise-in. The cruise-ins were held this summer on Monday nights at Buffalo Wild Wings. The West Ohio Food Bank chief executive officer said this money will go a long way in the community, especially during the holidays.
“While hunger is year-round we really see much more interest in giving and giving back and this is just a great way to kick off really the holiday season and great partnership that we had with Buffalo Wild Wings all summer long,” said Linda Hamilton, West Ohio Food Bank CEO.
This is the largest check the food bank has ever collected from this event.
