"We are raising money for Lima City Schools to really just help fund meals for students that may not have the best access to foods," said Paige Wagner, registered dietician at Lima Memorial Health System.

"We now have what we call a ready-to-eat shelf stable meal that will pack 6 in a box. So that a child either through schools or a daycare center can take those home so we know they've got food," commented Jamie Harter, director of development for the Northwest Ohio Children's Hunger Alliance.

By May of 2024, the Children's Hunger Alliance had distributed nearly 84,000 meals at 104 meal sites across the state of Ohio. The Children's Hunger Alliance began providing food to Ohio children in October of 2021.
