The Salvation Army reached their goal by over four thousand dollars for this year's Christmas in July Kettle Campaign.
Paul Downing from The Salvation Army says their campaign was a success, raising $24,000. Downing wants to thank the community for their generosity, he says the community donations will allow The Salvation Army to continue funding their summer programs for area kids, activities and social service assistance.
The Salvation Army is also asking the community for school supply donations for Lima City School students who will be going back to school soon. You can drop off donations at the Lima Menards, there will be a box where you can put in school supplies.
