Civic Center Announces 2024-25 Broadway Series

May 9, 2024, Press Release from the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center: LIMA, OH (5/9/24): The Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center and Civic Center Foundation announced the Broadway Series for 2024-25, featuring four shows.

The Civic Center Foundation’s Broadway in Crouse Hall 2024-25 Series includes SHREK, AIN’T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, and THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Tickets for all four (4) shows will be exclusively available at this time through the Broadway in Crouse Hall Series Subscription.

“We are thrilled to present four of Broadway’s biggest hits and award winners in our upcoming Broadway in Crouse Hall 2024-25 Series, all brand new to Lima,” said Abe Ambroza, CEO of the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center. “We work hard to bring these new Broadway shows to Lima as soon as they are available, with two of these national tours making single-night stops for the first time.”

SHREK THE MUSICAL will play on October 13, 2024, at Crouse Performance Hall in Lima. “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Yes, your favorite ogre is back in the hilarious stage spectacle, SHREK – THE MUSICAL. This Tony Award®-winning musical brings all the beloved characters from the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks animated film to life.

AIN’ TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS will play Crouse Performance Hall on November 12, 2024. Ain't Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations is the electrifying smash-hit Broadway musical that follows The Temptations’ extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, set to the beat of the group’s treasured hits, including “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Get Ready,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” and so many more!

DEAR EVAN HANSEN will play on March 23, 2025, in Crouse Performance Hall. Declared “one of the most remarkable shows in musical theater history” by the Washington Post, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is the first musical to take a groundbreaking look — from the point of view of both the parents and young people — at our complex, interconnected, and social media-filled lives.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY: A MUSICAL COMEDY will play Crouse Performance Hall on April 16, 2025. A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, THE ADDAMS FAMILY is the magnificently macabre hit musical featuring everyone’s favorite creepy, kooky characters. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents.

The Broadway Series Subscription renewals will begin on Monday, May 20, for those who had a subscription last season. Renewing subscribers must contact the Box Office at 419-224-1552, open weekdays from 12:00-5:00 PM. New Broadway subscriptions will go on sale on Monday, June 3, online at limaciviccenter.com or the Civic Center Box Office. A subscription saves up to 20% off single ticket prices, along with other benefits. Individual Broadway shows’ on-sale dates will announced later in the year.
