A group of New York firefighters that survived 9/11 have been traveling the country entertaining people for a laugh.
The "Laughter Saves Lives" comedy show is coming to Lima/Allen County. The group was formed in 2011 to remember and honor the brave men and women who lost their lives in the September 11th attack on our nation in 2001. The show is a way they can help give back and to support fundraising efforts to never forget. Shawnee Manor and HCF are bringing the show to town as a fundraiser for the proposed Allen County 9/11 memorial.
"The way that HCF and Shawnee Manor is, it's not about the donation it's about making a difference and we thought we could make a donation or we could do really something cool and this is something cool, this is something that we hopefully will raise a lot more than our donation would and raise a lot more awareness and excitement and some fun in Lima, Ohio," said Daniel Lee, community marketing coordinator for HCF.
The show is Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. with tickets at $19 and $34. You can purchase tickets at the Veterans Civic Center box office.
