Commercial plow drivers love the snow

A lot of businesses are losing a lot of money this winter because people either can't get to work or can't get out to shop.  However, the harsh conditions are a blessing for a few.

Dan Gossard of Gossard Snow Removal says he started plowing for this latest storm Tuesday night and continued plowing past noon on Wednesday.

Gossard says he's been in business for the past 20 years, but can't remember a winter like this one in at least the last ten years.  We caught Gossard clearing the parking lot at Open Door Baptist Church in Lima.  He compares the snow to money falling from the sky.

Gossard adds that the job can be difficult.  The long hours lead to fatigue and equipment malfunctions-- like a flat tire-- can be troublesome in these temperatures.  There are also plenty of winters that are quite warm, and then the plows aren't needed.
