Dorney Plaza in Findlay, named after Dale Dorney will turn 30 years old next year. The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation announced they will be giving a donation towards the plaza update project.
The City of Findlay is planning on an estimated 1 million dollar upgrade to Dorney Plaza improving security and modernizing the area. The late Dale Dorney began the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation which will donate 200 thousand dollars to the update. Trees, fence, lighting and new pavement material are planned for the area. The county and Findlay are expected to split the remainder of the expense.
Construction is expected to be done by early October 2017.
