LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Election day is nearly upon us, but there's still time and several options to get that vote in early.  Some special times and extended hours along with weekend voting times are being offered to make sure everyone has a chance to cast that ballot leading up to election day.  Early in-person voting hours have begun at all the county boards of elections statewide.  Election officials say the idea is to make sure everything is as uniform and convenient as possible for everyone's busy schedules.

Early voting hours extended for final week before Nov. 7 election

“Back several years ago, the Secretary of State decided to mandate the hours, so all of us are open the same hours and sometimes it can be tough,” says Kathy Meyer, Dir. Allen Co. Board of Elections.  “We try to adjust to the schedules of our employees and make sure we have both parties here at any one time so people can vote.”
