PERRY TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - A house fire broke out in Perry Township Friday night.
The Perry Township Fire Department was called out to 3232 Schooler Road around 11:30 pm in response to a call by a neighbor finding heavy smoke. The primary search revealed there were no residents home at the time of the fire.
Shawnee, Cridersville, and Westminster Rural Fire Departments provided mutual aid. One firefighter was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
The extent of the damage is unknown and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
