A weekend checkpoint in Allen County results in arrests for both impaired driving and drugs.

The Lima post of the State Highway Patrol along with the Allen County Sheriff's Office reports 1,005 vehicles passed through the checkpoint Friday evening. It yielded two OVI arrests with two vehicles being diverted. There was also one misdemeanor drug arrest and one felony arrest made by troopers.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol wants to remind motorists to never drive impaired or distracted and always buckle up.
