LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima elementary school students celebrating the ninety-fourth birthday of Mickey Mouse.
Freedom Elementary School hosted a Disney family night, with themed activities to match the birthday of Mickey. The purpose of these events is not only to give kids something fun to do after school but to help build relationships between parents and school staff. Parents and their students had a wide variety of activity stations to choose from.
"We have different stations where the kids can do charades, they can do a sing-along, they can draw Mickey Mouse, they also get the Mickey Mouse ears and a growth chart, and then they'll get to do the different stations and win a prize at the end," said Angela Meyer, school counselor.
Freedom Elementary School holds a family night for parents and students every month.
