LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Several agencies responded to a gas leak in a Lima neighborhood Monday afternoon.
City of Lima utilities director Mike Caprella says city crews were doing sewer repairs near South Shore Drive and South McDonel Street when they hit an unmarked gas line. Enbridge Gas was notified and responded to the scene to address the leak.
The Lima Fire Department was also on site, taking precautionary measures and notifying nearby homeowners. Several blocks in the area were closed off while crews worked to secure the scene.
Caprella says Enbridge is handling the situation.
