ADA, Ohio (WLIO) - An email sent to Ohio Northern students, faculty and staff raised concerns that lead to an increased police presence on campus on Wednesday.

After receiving the email on Tuesday, college administration notified campus security and the Ada Police Department. The email was from a former male student from the Pettit College of Law and it raised concerns about a possible threat. After reviewing the e-mail, the administration and local law enforcement did not see an overt threat but did take a few precautions. They restricted access to the college of law to only key holders and they increased police presence on campus.

Campus spokesperson David Kielmeyer tells Your News Now that activity on campus has been normal and the man that sent the email has been banned from campus. Our station did receive calls from several students who voiced concerns about the situation.
