LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It's that time of year when school music groups get to make the rounds at service clubs to perform and today one made a stop at the Lima Kiwanis Club.
These students make up the Lima City School's "Heritage Harmonics" from Heritage Elementary School. They performed a medley of holiday songs for the Kiwanis members and even did a little dancing. Students practice several days a week at school and say they enjoy the feeling they get when performing in front of a live audience.
"It's good. It's, it's like a good feeling when you know people like what you do and when you do stuff. It takes a lot of effort and practice to get everything right. And right now we're doing a whole bunch of Christmas songs," stated Harmony Waters, 4th grade student at Heritage Elementary.
Waters is also the president of Heritage's K-Kids, which is a school-based service club sponsored by the Lima Kiwanis. Many of the members of the choir are in the K-Kids club. Santa even made a surprise stop bringing treats and taking time to visit with the children.
