LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The money may have been fake, but the fun was real at the 31st annual ChamberFest. This is the Lima/Allen County Chamber's largest community event, with around five hundred people trying their hand at the classic games like poker and blackjack or some new favorites like digital horse racing and slot machines. All the chamber dollars they win can be used to bid on items in the auction. Plus, local restaurants were on hand to keep the guests fed. Whether they were new faces or regulars, the chamber is glad that everyone comes out to have a good time year after year.

“Just to see every single year they come out, different people, sometimes there are different people each year, but they always go away with a positive attitude with something that was fun and enjoyable,” says Jed Metzger, Pres., and CEO Lima/Allen Co. Chamber. “Especially the people that have never been here before. Those are the people that are sort of fun because they have no idea what they are walking into and they walk out of the event saying this is great, I am going to come back next year.”

At the end of the night, someone walked away with the grand prize, which included a new TV, fireplace, and other furniture to deck out their living room.
