Hurricane Harvey pups up for adoption

A Lotta Love Pet Rescue has a few dogs up for adoption after they were saved from Hurricane Harvey.

The five puppies and their mother were going to be euthanized as flood waters were about to hit their shelter in Texas, but a pet rescue saved the dogs and brought them back up to Ohio, eventually handing the dogs off to A Lotta Love in Lima.  The president of A Lotta Love says that the dogs are ready to find their forever homes.

"We've taken them to the vet twice, we started their shots, they've been wormed, they're on heartworm and flea prevention, and the vet says they're very healthy," said Sandy McVeigh, president of A Lotta Love.  "They're going to be small dogs, probably less than 10 pounds once fully grown; the best guess is that they are Chiweenies; their mom was a chihuahua, and the dad was a dachshund."
