Irish Parade hits the streets of Lima on March 10th

It’s time to shake off the winter blues, and break out your green because the Lima Irish parade will be hitting the streets on March 10th.

The committee is hard at work getting everything they need for the 2018 parade. For the last 26 years, the parade not only celebrates the Irish heritage in Lima, but also is a reunion for all of the Irish families in the area. When it came to picking a grand marshal, the parade committee decided that honor should go to the the late Danny Killian who passed away last year.

"He was a true Irishman. I knew him well and he is very missed. We just thought that it was proper and fitting. His family is going to stand up for him and lead the parade for us," said Tom McNamara, Co-Chair Lima Irish Parade.
