Jackson moves to Level 3 at the Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital

A former Elida High School student accused of murder is expected to see a few changes in the near future.

Tuesday (11/21/17), Allen County Prosecutors agreed to downgrade Kenyada Jackson from a level two security status to a level three at the Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital. In 2011, Jackson killed her 4-year-old sister and attacked her mother. When tried in November of 2011, Jackson was found not guilty by reason of insanity to five felony counts including murder, attempted murder, and abuse of a corpse. Due to the change in security levels, Jackson will now be able to participate in a job orientation, but will remain under constant supervision.

Jackson was not in attendance at Tuesday's hearing.
