Kmart building sold to Lima businessman

For the past five years, the old Kmart building on Allentown Road has remained empty, but now the property has a new owner.  

According to real estate records, the property was sold on December 31st to 2200 Allentown LLC. The company's name is also the address for the property.  The real estate includes the entire strip mall that previously housed Kmart, Dollar General, and an internet café.  The only current tenant is Biggby Coffee.  

The cash sale was for nearly $1.2 million dollars.  According to the Secretary of State's website, the incorporators are listed as Anthony Collins and Robert J. Honigford.  Collins is a Lima businessman best known for being the CEO of East of Chicago Pizza.  The chain has more than 80 locations in six states.  Honigford is a lawyer in Lima.
