If you haven't visited the Lima Civic Center in a while, you may not recognize the changes they've been making.
On Tuesday(10/29/19), the Civic Center staff showed off the changes they've been making over the recent years. As of recently, the carpet was replaced throughout the building and the Main Street entrance was redone to create a more welcoming environment. The exhibit has added flat screens, projectors, and a camera. Their biggest project has been to Crouse Hall investing 300 thousand dollars over the last few years. They also replaced the entire rope system.
"There are a lot of people in the community that they spend their time, throughout the year, for their entertainment dollars come into Crouse Hall to see amazing touring shows," Abe Ambroza said, CEO of the Civic Center. "We wanted to make sure that we were able to stay up to date and keep up with our competitors when it comes to bringing in top-notch talent throughout the country that's touring and coming through Lima."
They are also working on a completely new lighting infrastructure that is expected to be done by September of 2020.
