The Lima Community Aquatic Park endowment fund has hit 4 million dollars toward its 5 million dollar goal. The fund will ensure that the facility will be maintained for years to come, providing family fun for generations.
The pool is expected to open on Memorial Day weekend.
"People can still make donations. We will be taking them as long as people want to keep giving them. This is for the sustainability to keep the pool affordable and to keep it for the whole community and the maintenance and everything like that. So, we are really excited that we're getting so close to our goal," said Robin Frasier, executive director of the Lima Community Foundation.
