LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Fire Department, police, and EMS responded to a fire early this morning.
The fire erupted inside a two-and-a-half-story residential house located at 9 Jean Court at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. On scene, firefighters encountered heavy smoke pouring outside of the house, with extensive interior damage. First responders had to close down portions of Elm Street between Jameson and Garfield Avenue for a period of time. A fire investigator was called out to the scene to determine the cause of the fire, and the Red Cross is assisting the homeowner affected.
