Officers were first called to South Sugar Street where two men had been shot in front of residence there around 2:10 am. The unknown black male suspect was to trying gain access to a home at 1433 South Sugar Street when a nearby resident confronted him. The suspect fled but returned a few minutes later and shot 22-year-old Kaleb Craig-Groves and 20-year-old Drevon Boddie who were in front of the residence. Both victims were taken to area hospitals for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
At 3:05 am LPDÂ responded to shots fired near the intersection of Elmwood and Eureka. When officers arrived they found 21-year-old Devin Moore of Lima with multiple gunshot wounds. Moore was driving through the intersection when at least two unknown male suspects fired several shots at his car. He was able to drive his car around the block to safety before encountering police. Moore was taken to the hospital. Police were unsure of his condition at last check.
