"We're asking the community to come out and give and volunteer. That's the main two things we're doing. Obviously, this is the kick-off of the Christmas season for us. The monies we raise helps us not just through Christmas but throughout the entire year. That's why it's so important to be out there. We've got 48 days until Christmas, isn't that crazy? 48 days till Christmas, so we've got that small time period to come out and just do what we can to help others," said Paul Downing, operations manager at the Lima Salvation Army.
